The Mexican national football team (Spanish: Selección de fútbol de México) represents Mexico in international football competitions and is managed by the Mexican Football Federation (Spanish: Federación Mexicana de Fútbol). The team is a member of the CONCACAF (Constitution of Central American and Caribbean Soccer), an association encompassing countries in North America, Central America, and the Caribbean. Their home stadium is the Aztec Stadium. Mexico is the most successful national team in the history of CONCACAF, having won 11 confederational titles, including 8 CONCACAF Gold Cup titles and 3 CONCACAF Championship titles (the predecessor to the Gold Cup), as well as 3 CONCACAF Soccer Championship titles, 1 CONCACAF Nations Cup title, 1 CONCACAF Cup title, and 2 CONCACAF Games gold medals. Mexico is one of only eight[a] countries to have won two of the three major football competitions (the World Cup, the Confederations Cup, and the Summer Olympics), having won the 1999 FIFA Confederations Cup[5] and the 2012 Summer Olympics[6]. Mexico is also the only CONCACAF team to have won an official FIFA competition, having won the 1999 FIFA Confederations Cup. Despite being a member of CONCACAF, Mexico's national team has been invited to the Copa America from 1993 to 2016, finishing as runner-up twice (1993 and 2001) and third three times.
