France was the first national team to win all three of FIFA's most prestigious men's football competitions: the World Cup, the Confederations Cup, and the Olympics (winning the Confederations Cup in 2001). The Confederations Cup was first established in 1992. Prior to this, Uruguay and Italy won the Olympics and the World Cup respectively in the 1920s and 1930s. England and Germany have also won these two competitions; however, England competed in the Olympics under the British name, while East Germany won the 1976 Olympics. Since 2001, Argentina (after the 2004 Olympics) and Brazil (after the 2016 Olympics) are the other two national teams to have won all three competitions. They have also each won their respective continental titles (Argentina and Brazil won the Copa America, and France won the European Championship).
